Queen Anne woman sets weight lifting records – from The SeattleGYM!

At 5 feet tall and 102 pounds, Julie Makin, 49, might not be what you’d expect a record-setting weightlifter to look like. The Queen Anne resident set a new state and American records. She made her medal-winning performance on Feb. 22 at the Washington State Powerlifting Championship in Columbia City.
