Angela realized her dream to dance at the age of 7 and began taking ballet lessons at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre. By age 15, Angela was dancing on scholarship and won the prestigious Princess Grace Award, opening the door to professional dance opportunities. At age 16, Angela accepted an invitation to study year-‐round with the School of American Ballet in New York City and within 6 months, signed a contract to dance with American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company.
For 6 seasons, Angela danced with ABT’s Corps de ballet, performing at the Metropolitan Opera House as well as major cities around the world. Angela moved back to Portland, Oregon in 2007 to open and manage her Manhattan Café.
Since leaving NYC, Angela has enjoyed career opportunities outside the scope of ballet, while connecting with her love of fitness through dance, group fitness classes and running. As recent Seattleites, Angela and her husband have already fallen in love with the skyline views and fantastic city energy!
